Career blossoms for Bollington man

A Macclesfield retailer has been boosted by the appointment of a new senior manager to its team.

The 30-year-old has over 12 years’ experience in the motor industry, all with Volkswagen and has qualified from NVQ Levels 2 and 3 in order to be appointed.

He started his profession as an apprentice, before developing his career to parts advisor, parts supervisor.

Nick Ashton, brand manager at Gilbert Lawton Volkswagen, is thrilled with Andy’s appointment. He said: “Andy has vast experience with the Volkswagen brand and across the parts sector of the business.

“He will provide invaluable experience to pass on to the team in Macclesfield and encourage them to work towards their desired goals.”

Andy said: “I am very much looking forward to the new challenge. The members of staff at Gilbert Lawton Volkswagen are great and I’m excited to a part of the team.

“There is a low staff turnover which provides a great platform for customers to build a rapport with staff and vice versa.”
