New Canterbury recruit will help drive sales

A young car enthusiast from Canterbury has secured her dream job at a local business.

Charlie Dench, 21, joins EuroCanterbury Volkswagen as salesperson and will be responsible for the sale of Volkswagen’s new and used vehicles, including the newly launched Beetle and up! models.

Chris Evans, general sales manager for EuroCanterbury Volkswagen, situated on Broad Oak Road, said: “We feel there is a lack of female representation in the industry and Charlie’s appointment is one step in helping to redress the balance.

“Not only does she have lots of knowledge about cars, gleaned from two years working in the automotive industry, but she will have a natural rapport with our female customers and will be able to talk with authority and enthusiasm about the new Volkswagen

“In Charlie, we have discovered a passionate individual who has a keen interest in the motor industry and I am sure she will go far in her career with Volkswagen.”

Commenting about her appointment, Charlie said: “I am passionate about the Volkswagen brand. I’m really looking forward to learning the ropes from staff working for one of the
best loved and respected car brands and ultimately, helping to generate sales for EuroCanterbury.”

The Volkswagen Beetle and up! models are available from March 2012. For further information, or to register your interest, call EuroCanterbury on 01227 826 800 or visit
