A Colindale retailer has invested £1m to improve its facilities and will be the first business of its kind to launch a new service.
The investment from Citygate Volkswagen will create at least six new jobs, as the business unveils Direct Express, a new, while-you-wait facility for Volkswagen owners.
Direct Express, which officially opens in early November, is based at Citygate Volkswagen’s dedicated service centre on the Capitol Way Industrial Park, Colindale.
The service centre features 24 service bays, with six dedicated service advisors and an executive lounge area for all their customers to relax in whilst their cars are being looked after.
Citygate Volkswagen’s group aftersales manager, Simon Poole, said: “The investment we have just made shows how committed we are to creating long term jobs, assisting in the regeneration of the area and delivering customers with an unrivalled service from such a prestigious brand.
“Volkswagen owners will now have the opportunity to drop in for a service, or have new tyres, exhausts and batteries fully fitted, without making an appointment.
“The aim is to offer quality, approved parts at competitive prices, whilst giving customers flexibility to have these fitted while they wait or the work to be carried out at a time convenient to them. All work is carried out by Volkswagen-trained technicians.
“We will also match any like-for-like written quote for service and maintenance from any garage within five miles to ensure our customers are paying the best price, the only qualification is that genuine Volkswagen parts are used.
“The most important factor is customers will get the official Volkswagen stamp in a car’s service book and a full manufacturer stamped book can be worth its weight in gold.”
This ‘while-you-wait’ facility offers tyres from £45, including fitting, MOT testing at £39 and a minor service for £149.
