Grand donation for Birmingham Children’s Hospital

Birmingham Children’s Hospital has received an amazing £1,000 donation from a local independent furniture business.

Staff from Cookes Furniture demonstrated their kindness when they presented Ward 10 of Birmingham’s Children’s Hospital with a cheque for £1,000, to help support the treatment of sick children.

James Pike, managing director at Cookes Furniture visited the hospital to take a look around and hand over the money. He said: “We were absolutely delighted to be able to help out Birmingham Children’s Hospital and to donate such a large amount of money.

“Cookes Furniture is very much about family and this hospital provides such valuable care and support for so many families in and around Birmingham that we hope the £1,000 will help make a difference and provide them with the money to continue such a great cause.”

Cookes Furniture are known for helping out local charities and businesses with in Birmingham and surrounding areas. They have been involved in many charitable activities and events. This particular donation was one that was very close to their hearts.

Shahaji Sattar, corporate partnerships consultant at Birmingham Children’s Hospital, said: “We are thrilled that Cookes Furniture chose to make such a generous donation to Birmingham Children’s Hospital.

“This will make such a difference to the children that we treat and it is appreciated by both the staff and the children here.”
