Birmingham store funds charity Christmas party

A Birmingham based furniture store has made a charity’s dream come true with an extravagant Christmas party.

Norman Lauds Associations received a generous amount of money from Cookes Furniture to fund a memorable Christmas for the children and young adults at the home.

With the help from Cookes Furniture the association hired Wibbly Wobbly World of Play in Perry Barr for the children to enjoy fun and games.

Jane Clarke, community fundraiser at Norman Lauds Association, said: “We could not thank Cookes enough for making this dream of ours come true; without the funding the children couldn’t have experienced such a lovely private festive party.”

Norman Lauds aim to provide quality short break services for children and young adults with special needs. They offer support to family members who have to cope under the most difficult circumstances.

“All the children had an amazing evening and will be an unforgettable time in their lives,” Jane concluded.

Vanessa Hoe, marketing director of Cookes Furniture, said: “We were absolutely delighted to have provided Norman Lauds with a Christmas party to remember.

“The association is such a great cause and we hope that all the children had a wonderful day.”
