Berryfields visitors get a wild encounter

Bedfordshire got a wild adventure when they viewed the showhome’s jungle themed bedroom – meeting snakes, spiders, lizards and even a meerkat!

Persimmon Homes Midlands invited experts from the Animal Experience in Cambridge to join them at the showhome launch, bringing their exotic creatures so visitors could get a hands-on encounter at Berryfields in Wootton.

The free event allowed children and their parents to get a close look at an albino Burmese python, tarantula, bearded dragon, chinchilla and the very popular meerkat.

Sales manager at Persimmon Midlands, Claire Lambert said: “The exotic and unusual animals were a big hit with our visitors.

“We have exciting plans for Berryfields, including open spaces and ecological enhancement, as well as a new primary school with pre-school provision later in the development. So we thought it would be lovely to launch the showhome with a special free family-friendly event linked to wildlife.

“This was a great opportunity for local people to enjoy a ‘wild’ adventure as well as finding out more about our plans for Wootton, and we look forward to meeting lots of new neighbours.”
