FANS URGED TO CREATE A ‘WALL OF COLOUR’

Football fans across the country are being given a fantastic opportunity to enjoy early-season success – all in the name of colour.

A competition is being run in conjunction with the Football League’s ‘Wall of Colour’ campaign, encouraging fans to show their love for their team in the most innovative way possible through colour.

Johnstone’s Paint, sponsors of the Football League Trophy, and The Football League are seeking pictures of the most colourful supporters in the Sky Bet Football League during the opening two weeks of the new campaign.

Each club’s first home game of the season, fans are being asked to create a ‘Wall of Colour’ by wearing their team colours to the match.

The Football League are offering 2 VIP tickets to the 2015 Sky Bet Championship Play-Off Final and Johnstone’s Paint is offering a replica final match ball to each of the best five runners up ‘Wall of Colour’ pictures posted at po.st/WOCcomp .

Clubs can also get in on the fun by nominating their best ‘Wall of Colour’ picture to the Football League and Johnstone’s Paint, with the most eye-catching one receiving a paint product prize for a redecoration project.

Johnstone’s Paint is in its ninth season of sponsoring the Football League Trophy, and has continually lived up to its pledge of bringing colour to the beautiful game.

As part of that guarantee, fans can also paint their house in club colours courtesy of the Johnstone’s Team Colours Colour Card, which sees paint developed in exact home team colours.

“Colour is such a symbolic part of any football club and has always been a very important part of the Johnstone’s Paint Trophy, both on and off the pitch,” said Ben Wilde, brand and sponsorship manager of Johnstone’s Paint.

“With that in mind, we are delighted to be supporting the ‘Wall of Colour’ campaign and we look forward to seeing lots of pictures of people and grounds decked out in club colours for these special weekends to launch the new season.”

Supporters are asked to submit their pictures the dedicated web site po.st/WOCcomp.

Johnstone’s Paint has a long history as a leading paint brand, with over 185 Johnstone’s Decorating Centres around the UK, and will celebrate its 125th anniversary in 2015.
