A young woman from Maidenhead is certainly making her mark at a leading house builder after securing her second promotion in a matter of months.
Sarah Warwick, 22, is working her way through the ranks at Persimmon Homes North London having joined the company in January last year.
She started off in an admin role on reception at the company’s regional headquarters at Vanwall Business Park and about a year later was promoted to the job of construction and technical secretary.
Sarah impressed with her enthusiasm and organisation and has now become the new personal assistant to Persimmon Homes North London director in charge / regional chairman Andrew Hammond.
Sarah has only been in her latest role for a matter of weeks but is looking forward to the challenge ahead.
“There are lots of different aspects to the job which means that every day is different,” she said.
“I look after anything Andrew needs each day, whether that’s organising company cars, managing diaries and deadlines or general office duties. Dealing with customers is also a big part of the role, which can be very rewarding.
“It’s very exciting. I’m really pleased that I made the move to Persimmon. It’s a great company to work for and I’m looking forward to the future. It’s a fantastic time to be involved in the construction industry because it is growing so rapidly.”
Sarah, who worked in a gym as a sales manager before being taken on by the house builder, picked up the Persimmon Young Achiever award earlier this year having been nominated by construction director John Hutchings.
“That was a huge honour,” added Sarah. “I’d like to personally thank John for helping me progress so much during my employment at Persimmon. I have received wonderful training so that has helped me progress within the company.
Mr Hammond praised Sarah’s efforts in her first her first year-and-a-half with the firm.
He said: “Sarah is a great asset to the team. She has shown great enthusiasm and a real willingness to learn and progress.
“Sarah has a bright future ahead of her and I’m looking forward to working with her as my personal assistant.”
