Praise for excellent customer service

The owner of a brand new home on the outskirts of Manchester has heaped praise on the excellent customer service he received from Persimmon Homes.

Ged Mason moved into his three bedroom property at Fairfield View, Heywood, last December with his wife and two teenage sons.

Six months later, Ged says Persimmon’s after sales service has been over and above the ordinary in order to deal with the challenges faced by the family.

Ged said: “I’m 68 and probably too old to be buying a new home, but our boys both have autism and we were in a converted two bedroom flat. Jamie, who is 16, has mild autism, but 15-year-old Joseph has severe autism with no speech, he’s 18 stone and has behavioural and learning difficulties.

“We moved Joseph’s things gradually over a week, and took him to the new house several times; but the night we moved it took him five hours before he would come into the house.

“Too cut a long story short, everyone at Persimmon has been amazing. They dug out the front garden and laid a parking area directly outside the house so that Joseph’s disabled minibus can collect him from the door. And the wonderful large rear garden has been a real boost offering plenty of safe, outdoor space for him – we even managed to fit in a huge paddling pool for Joseph’s 15th birthday.”

He added that everyone at Persimmon had contributed to making the transition as smooth and problem free as possible, from the site manager to the salesperson, workmen to customer services.

“The site only has about 50 residents at the moment, but everyone has been so understanding of Joseph and his unique challenges, making this a wonderful place for us to now call home.”

Ged is a former marketing manager and says that he and his Thai wife of 19 years, Bunnak, have been made to feel totally welcome.

“It really has been a dream move for us,” he added. “Heywood is a really up and coming area to live in, and houses like ours are a fraction of the price they would be nearer the city centre. We are so pleased we chose Persimmon.”

The Mason’ s bought a three bed detached Rufford style property with integral garage, fully fitted kitchen/diner, family bathroom and master bedroom with en suite using Persimmon’s  Part Exchange scheme.

Heywood lies in the shadow of some of the most spectacular countryside in the North West, and is a thriving market town bordered by Bury and Rochdale. The town centre has shops, a library and local medical centre, while the development itself has superb transport links to the M66 and associated motorway network. Manchester city centre is just 12 miles away.

Fairfield View is the ideal location for families with excellent educational facilities close to the development, with a range of nursery, primary and secondary schools near-by. The area is surrounded by the woodlands of the Ashworth and Naden Valleys, abundant with wildlife and a diverse range of habitats and archaeological remnants, testament to the area’s rich heritage.
