FUCHS RELEASES GROUND-BREAKING VOLVO OIL

Leading lubricant specialists FUCHS has released a ground-breaking engine oil which can reduce fuel consumption by almost 4 per cent.

FUCHS has added TITAN GT1 PRO V SAE 0W-20 to its comprehensive product range, which has now been approved by Volvo for use in the manufacturer’s latest high-tech engines.

The oil boasts FUCHS new XTL-Technology® with extreme fuel-economy characteristics and reduced CO² emissions.

When tested, fuel consumption was found to decrease by up to 3.9 per cent. The oil can also remain in the engine for a longer period before it needs to be drained, saving the motorist money and providing environmental benefits.

The innovative low viscosity oil has excellent cold starting behaviour, very fast oil circulation and outstanding performance reserves.

Rosemary Mellor, FUCHS UK automotive product manager, said: “Today’s highly stressed systems and engines with Stop-Start technology put high demand on lubrication.

“This fantastic new product is a unique formulation based on FUCHS XTL-Technology ®. The unique technology offers superior wear protection and performance, despite the oil’s low viscosity.

“The recent approval demonstrates that it is perfect to be used in the latest Volvo engines and will ensure that the vehicle’s warranty is not put at risk by using the incorrect oil.”

TITAN GT1 PRO V SAE 0W-20 is suitable for petrol and diesel engines requiring the Volvo VCC RBS0-2AE specification.

A complete oil change is recommended when switching to TITAN GT1 PRO V SAE 0W-20.

With over 100 years of experience, FUCHS develops and manufactures a diverse range of lubricants at its Stoke-on-Trent site, including TITAN engine oils, gear oils, hydraulic oils, ECOCOOL metalworking fluids and specialist pharmaceutical lubricants.
