Inert Recycling (UK) is new Trucks To Go customer

Four MAN TGS tippers are first for recycling firm’s fleet

Leading truck manufacturer MAN Truck & Bus has supplied four new TGS 35.400 8×4 tippers to Southampton-based Inert Recycling through the Trucks To Go scheme.

The vehicles were provided via MAN Rental and are on a full repair and maintenance contract.

Colin Donnelly, transport manager at Inert, explained: “We currently run a fleet of 25 tippers. Our MD, Keith Larner, felt the time was right to trial a new make of tipper to compare performance against our exisiting fleet of 23 Mercedes.

“The MANs were ready to go through the Trucks to Go scheme and we signed up for all four. They were on the road within weeks, two at first and then two more one week later. We are impressed with the service, both from the sales team in Southampton and the MAN fitters at Fareham..

“It has proved to be a very good deal for us, and though it is still early on in their service, the way they are going, we would certainly be looking at doing more business with MAN in the future.”

The trucks will be servicing Inert Recycling’s landfill restoration business carrying inert soil to former landfill sites in the south of England.

MAN Sales Executive Aaron Tamplin said: “The Trucks To Go scheme offers customers the opportunity to acquire ready-built trucks and bodies without the standard factory build lead times.

“For customers such as Inert Recycling who were looking for a standard vehicle to fulfill their tipper needs it provides a speedy and cost effective solution.”
