Black Country law firm Higgs & Sons are hosting a choir concert to welcome in the festive season while raising money for the NSPCC.

The Higgs Festive Choir Concert on Tuesday, December 12 will feature the firm’s award winning choir Legally Sound alongside children from Greenfield Primary School, winners of the Higgs Charity Choir Competition.

The seasonal event will be held at the Ruskin Glass Centre on Wollaston Road, Stourbridge and refreshments will include mince pies and mulled wine. Tickets are just £4 for adults, with children under 12 free.

Legally Sound are a mixed choir representing all departments at Higgs & Sons, from secretaries through to partners, and first performed together in 2015.  They meet once a week to rehearse. In 2015 they won a prestigious choir competition at Southwark Cathedral, and continue to perform at various charity and social events.

Greenfield Primary School choir were the winners of the Higgs Charity Choir Competition in July, which not only raised funds for the NSPCC, but also raised awareness of safeguarding issues among local schoolchildren.

Clare Griffiths, Head of Events at Higgs & Sons, said: “Our Festive Choir Concert is back by popular demand, and we are delighted that the children from Greenfield Primary School are able to join us, taking centre stage alongside our very own choir Legally Sound.

“We have a packed programme of festive fun for all the family planned, while raising as much money as possible for our charity of the year.”

The NSPCC is Higgs & Sons’ chosen charity of the year and fundraising events have already included the annual charity quiz, a 6-a-side football tournament, a summer concert, staff bake-offs and a variety of other activities.
