A Nuneaton-based online bathroom retailer has brought festive cheer to a Coventry charity by hosting its very own Christmas Market.
The offices of soak.com, which is based at Attleborough House on Townsend Drive in Nuneaton, were turned into a winter wonderland for the special event all held in aid of charity.
Around £1,100 was raised for Zoë’s Place Baby Hospice in Coventry, which provides care and support for young children with life-threatening and life-limiting illnesses.
In an event to also mark the opening of soak.com’s first ever showroom, the Christmas Market saw a host of stalls – including a Santa’s Grotto – open to staff, their families and other members of the community.
Helen Gemmell, Chief Marketing Officer for soak.com, said: “It was a fantastic event and there was a real Christmas feel about the place.
“We are all great supporters of Zoë’s Place and have enjoyed raising money for the charity throughout the year. But it feels particularly important and poignant during the Christmas period so we are delighted to show our support.”
Muna Chauhan, corporate manager for Zoë’s Place Baby Hospice, added: “Our huge thanks goes to soak.com for raising money for us through its Christmas Market.
“We have to raise £1.4 million per year to achieve our goal of making the hospice a ‘home from home’ for the children and their families, keeping the facilities open every minute of every day and ensuring we provide our services free of charge to families.
“The support from soak.com through the Christmas Market all helps us towards achieving these targets and is hugely appreciated.”
