In March, our long-standing client Selco Builders Warehouse took the difficult decision to close its 68 branches due to COVID-19.
It was important for Selco that the business continued engaging with tradespeople across the UK, despite the inability to communicate face-to-face.
With sporting tournaments cancelled, 8848 created ‘Battle of the Trades’ – a week-long social media competition with a knockout vote each day eliminating a trade, and eventually crowning the UK’s top trade.
What was the aim? Create positive conversation, grow Selco’s relevant following and keep the brand at the forefront of their customers’ minds.

- 1,000+ new tradespeople following Selco’s Facebook page
