It can be difficult to be heard above the noise when it comes to new store openings. But, at 8848 we have the experience and skills to maximise exposure.
Opening a new store is a significant milestone for any brand, regardless of whether it’s the first outlet or the 50th.
With new stores popping up all the time, brands often struggle to get the message out there to new customers.
That’s where we come in. We were delighted to help DIY and decorating specialist Leyland SDM open its 31st store in Dulwich recently.
London being a particularly difficult place to gain traction in the media, we had to pull out all the stops to make a splash.
As with many things in life, preparation is key. In the weeks prior to the opening we embarked on a strategic social media campaign to tease the opening. We did this by aligning the launch with football transfer deadline day, producing a dramatic video and eye-catching creative to announce Leyland SDM’s own ‘signing’.
Next, we found suitable partners in the local area to boost the company’s profile in Dulwich. With our help, Leyland SDM agreed a sponsorship package with Dulwich Hamlet Football Club, as well as a donation to a local school.
Later this month Leyland SDM will hand out flyers and merchandise at a high-profile Dulwich Hamlet FC match, as well as providing half-time entertainment to the 3,000+ crowd.
New Store Opening Day:
For the big opening day itself, we arranged for the Deputy Mayor of Southwark to be present, along with a representative of the football club, to cut the ribbon.
If your brand is expanding and opening a new store anywhere in the UK, we’d be delighted to help tell the story. Get in touch today.
