Erwin Hymer Centre Travelworld has capped a record-breaking 12 months by being shortlisted for two prestigious business awards.
The leading motorhome dealership is in the running for the Business of the Year and Training Excellence accolades in the Stoke-on-Trent BusinessLive Awards 2022.
The family-run company, which has a 40,000 sq ft facility including one of the biggest motorhome showrooms in the UK, will find out if it has been successful in the awards at a glitzy ceremony at King’s Hall, Stoke-on-Trent, on April 28.
Ross Edwards, managing director at Erwin Hymer Centre Travelworld, said: “We’re delighted to be shortlisted in these two categories and will be keeping our fingers crossed that we emerge victorious against stiff competition.
“The last two years have been very challenging as a result of Brexit and the pandemic but, nevertheless, we have been able to continue our growth and have enjoyed several record-breaking months.
“We’ve brought in new members of senior staff as we continue to deliver customer service excellence and staff development remains vitally important, with 70 percent of our 70 employees currently undergoing some form of training.
“Everyone at the business has worked extremely hard and it’s brilliant to receive recognition like this, which is a boost for the whole team.”
Amongst the 12-strong judging panel deciding on the shortlist were Simon McEneny of Newcastle-under-Lyme Borough Council, Sally McGill of Staffordshire University and Marc Waddington of The Sentinel.
Travelworld has been serving the motorhome industry for more than 40 years and has a purpose-built, state-of-the-art showroom located just off junction 14 of the M6.
