Today is World Book Day, a day created to promote ‘’reading for pleasure, offering every child and young person the opportunity to have a book of their own’’.
Here at 8848, we remember World Book Day with nostalgia – recalling how much fun it was to dress up as your favourite book character with your friends at school. However, we also remember the stress it caused our caregivers as they erratically tried to pull together an acceptable costume last minute!
Every year the costumes get more creative and we assume the sheer panic of parents does too.
