Hampshire company aims to raise thousands for regional charity

A leading Hampshire business is hoping to raise over £10,000 for a local charity to help them continue their support across the region.

Persimmon Homes South Coast has announced that it will be joining forces with Naomi House, the Winchester-based charity providing care to children and young adults with life-limiting conditions.

Naomi House hospice provides a respite care for sick children and their families, and aims to relieve the pressures of dealing with terminal illnesses.

The money will be generated through activities including a Spring Ball and charity raffle, and Persimmon Homes South Coast donating £10 for each house it sells during 2012.

Lauren Shields, corporate fundraiser at Naomi House, said: “We are delighted to receive the support of Persimmon Homes South Coast, and we look forward to the events over the coming year.

“Without support like this we would be unable to provide the much needed support for children and their families, and we would like to thank Persimmon Homes South Coast for its involvement.”

Andrew Golawski, managing director of Persimmon Homes South Coast, said: “Naomi House provides fantastic support for many children and their families across the region and we are very pleased to be in a position to help raise funds for the charity.

“Everyone at Persimmon Homes South Coast hopes that the money raised can bring some joy to the children who rely on the fantastic work carried out by Naomi House, and we look forward to the fundraising events over the coming year.”
