Wootton pupils don hard hats for site visit

Excited pupils from Wootton Lower School donned hard hats and high-visibility vests for a fun and informative visit to the Charles Church site at Jubilee Gardens.

Sixty Year One pupils were given the opportunity to see men at work on a live development,  have a go with trowels and spades and even sit in a digger – all under the very watchful eye of Senior Site Manager Paul Dearsley.

Mrs Pat Green, Key Stage Leader for Year One at Wootton Lower School, said: “The staff at Jubilee Gardens were very welcoming and the children had a brilliant time. The visit made a lovely end to our topic ‘Out and about’.  We have learned all about different aspects of living in Wootton, including new and old buildings, making and following route maps and how we could make Wootton an even better place to live.”

Delighted by the group’s enthusiasm, sales manager for Charles Church Midlands, Claire Lambert, said: “It was a pleasure to have the children visit us on our development.”

Jubilee Gardens is a development of contemporary and traditional three, four and five bedroom homes starting at £249,995. Infused with areas of open space, there are also stunning walkways, bridle paths, bicycle routes and play areas. Wootton itself is a beautiful village located to the South West of Bedford offering many amenities such as a public house, local shop, post office, dentist, pharmacy and medical centre.
