Wolverhampton entrepreneurs launch salon

A brand new hair and beauty salon will officially open this Friday (28 March) at the headquarters of a leading West Midlands charity.

The salon called ‘New Beginnings’ is located at local charity Beacon Centre’s site on Wolverhampton Road East in Sedgley.

Salon owners Angela Wilson and Jo Smith will open the doors at 9am where they will offer nibbles and drinks throughout the day, as well as a 20 per cent discount on all appointments.

The pair, who are former hair and beauty teachers at Wolverhampton College, are excited to open the doors of their first ever business venture and delighted to be located at the Beacon Centre’s site in Sedgley.

Jo Smith said: “We are proud to open our salon at the Beacon Centre’s building in Sedgley and hope it will encourage more people through the doors, not only to visit us, but to learn more about this wonderful charity and its services.

“We offer a warm and affordable service in a friendly and relaxing environment – as well as haircuts and colouring, we also offer a range of luxurious beauty treatments including facials and reflexology.”

Beacon Centre chief executive Arwyn Jones said: “We’re delighted that New Beginnings are opening here at the Beacon Centre and we welcome them to our building – the salon looks fantastic and we hope as many people as possible will visit and book in for a spot of pampering.

“Our Sedgley centre has so much to offer local people such as a conference centre, an award winning restaurant and fabulous charity shop. It’s also an important hub for people who are visually impaired to meet other people and share experiences, as well as participating in arts and crafts, music, fitness and IT sessions provided by the charity.”
