Back in 2001 we were tasked with providing PR that would boost interest and increase turnstile turnover for the Football League Trophy, now known as the Johnstone’s Paint Trophy.
How did we do?
Seventeen seasons later, we have secured over £2 million pounds of media coverage each year for Johnstone’s during our time managing the PR. This has included regular appearances on the BBC, Sky Sports News and Soccer AM. We also introduced the Johnstone’s Paint Pot Challenge, which saw League One and League Two players try to chip a football into a giant inflatable paint pot. Cue lots of comical misses, overly rehearsed celebrations and an impressive 150,000 views on YouTube.
