Wheeldon Trees Cottages, nestled in the heart of the Peak District, embodies that dream, offering guests a luxurious escape from the everyday hustle. But in 2021, the retreat sought a transformation – one that elevated its brand and guest experience to match its stunning beauty.

With new owners, Wheeldon Trees Cottages needed an injection of glamour. Enter 8848, tasked with making this dream a reality. Our challenge? Craft a completely new brand and customer journey that seamlessly integrated with the existing charm, while taking the experience to a whole new level.

How did we do?

Our team embraced the challenge. We researched Wheeldon Trees’ unique essence, its target audience, and the desired guest experience. This resulted in a brand refresh that resonated on every level.

We developed a new visual identity that captured the serenity of the surroundings – think calming colours, elegant typography, and imagery that showcased the cottages’ charm and the surrounding landscapes.

We meticulously crafted a communications journey that began the moment visitors landed on the brand-new website. Every touchpoint, from booking confirmation emails to welcome booklets and in-cottage amenities, reflected the new brand identity and elevated experience.

We didn’t stop at visuals. We designed signage, welcome bags, and even branded wallpaper, ensuring every detail reinforced the new brand and enhanced the guest experience. But our collaboration didn’t end there. In 2023, we helped launch their bespoke bath and body range, further solidifying their commitment to luxury and in 2024, we tackled the challenge of integrating fire safety regulations with their creative branding, maintaining both style and safety.
